Taking apart a Samsung Impression to replace the digitizer w/flex cable and the flex cable that opens and closes when the phone is opened and closed. Thanks to bkroo45 for his video, www.youtube.com which made it possible for me to take mine apart. Here are the steps which take you up to the 4:42 mark: 1. Remove battery and sim card and unscrew 6 screws along the top and bottom edge. 2. Carefully, pry off the back cover starting with the bottom edge (near send and end buttons). 3. Pry up the little round speaker-be careful! 4. Unclip the antenna wire at the bottom right of the main board. 5. Unclip the flex ribbon at the bottom left of the main board. 6. Pop up, but do not unclip, the speaker at the top left of the main board. 7. Fold the main board to the right and unclip the flex ribbon from the underneath. The main board is now free. 8. Remove 6 screws from the silver frame. 9. Remove 1 screw from the antenna on the bottom right of the phone. 10. Pop up the antenna and remove the 2 screws from the cover underneath and then remove the cover. 11. Remove the silver internal frame. Be careful not to damage the flex ribbon. 12. Remove the keypad. 13. Remove the 1 screw that hold down the flex ribbon. 14. Remove the 2 screws that hold the keypad frame to the slide section. 15. Remove the keypad frame from the slide section. Feed the flex ribbon through the opening. 16. Remove 5 screws from the slide section. 17. Remove the front housing of the phone from the slide section by ...
